Mission Statement:  The Catholic Community of Southbridge, called by the Spirit, drawing from our diversity, united in the Eucharist, commit to sharing resources to proclaim the Kingdom of God.

Baccalaureate 2005

This year, for the first time, all high school graduates from the four parishes of Cluster 29 were invited to gather for a special Mass held at Saint Mary's Parish on Saturday, May 28th to honor their achievements and ask God's blessing for their future studies and endeavors. At the conclusion of the Mass, four scholarships each in the amount of $610, one representing each parish were awarded by lot to the attending graduates.  The scholarships were made possible by the donations received in each of the parishes the weekend before.  The four scholarships were awarded to Beth Amodeo (Saint Mary's), Philip Baldyga (Sacred Heart), Justin Dupuis (Notre Dame) and Rebecca Jesz (Saint Hedwig).

The graduates line up before Mass for the entrance procession. Our proud graduates enter the church for recognition. Marysol proclaims the first reading.
Christina proclaims the second reading. Fr. Peter provides the homily. Cindy & Marysol gladly bring forward the bread and wine for Mass.
Darlene Farland of Notre Dame chooses one of the scholarship winners. The candidates are presented for a special blessing. They bow their heads as we pray for them.
They, and all of us, are proud of their accomplishments. They file out of church ... heading for some refreshments & congratulations.
Hungry appetites ...  and of course, there's cake! A shot of the crowd that gathered.
