  Easter † Pascua

Sunday, March 27, 2005

The following are pictures from our Family Masses celebrated on Easter Morning.  At 10 AM, we celebrated Mass in English; at 12 Noon in Spanish.  During the Mass, a banner with the word 'Alleluia!' is removed from the 'tomb' it has been in during Lent as it is sung for the first time since Lent began. Then the children present join in an Easter parade for the Gospel singing Alleluia.  At the 10 AM Mass, students from our Religious Education program dramatized the gospel during its proclamation.  At the Noon Mass, an infant was baptized.  The following are photos of those joyful celebrations!

Mary Magdalene arrives at the tomb to discover it is empty. The disciple whom Jesus loves arrives first. With Peter they leave the tomb amazed. The banner reaches the front at the end of our Easter parade.
A question during the homily. A gesture that the tomb is empty. Another point in the homily. We face west, the place of darkness, for the renunciation of sin.
The children gather at the altar for the Eucharistic Prayer.
