A Visitor from
Haiti
December 2004 In December, we were graced with a special
visitor from Haiti, Oudi who assists at the diocesan Mission House,
Kay Sen Pol in Les Cayes, Hait. A native of Les Cayes, Oudi
was making his first visit to the United States. One day he
stopped at Trinity Catholic Academy to speak with the students there
to give a personal sharing of life in Haiti. The following are
some photos of his visit. please

Oudi talked about the daily realities of life
without dependable electricity, scarce water and the lack of
public education. |

After his presentation, the students were
invited to ask questions which they did from details of daily
life, to his impressions of the USA, to the current struggles,
especially of children in Haiti. |
 |
Oudi thanked the students in a special way
for the efforts and the contributions that they make.
Their sacrifices make a difference in the life of each person.
He explained that he knows that firsthand since he was once a
scholarship student in the diocesan program. Without the
generosity of people from our Worcester area, he could not have
afforded to go to school |

At the conclusion of his presentation,
representatives from the student body presented donations that
had been collected in the classrooms; one way they are helping
to make change for Haiti! |
