Cluster Mass in celebration of the Election of

Pope Benedict XVI

April 21, 2005

Upon the election of our new Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, it had been decided that the four Catholic parishes would gather together as a single community to express our unity with the new Bishop Rome.  We gathered two days after his election on April 19th, in the evening of April 21st.  The following are some of the pictures of that special Mass at which almost two hundred people from Southbridge were in attendance.

A view of some of those who joined us for this special celebration. The sanctuary is filled with the priests of the four parishes and deacons from Sacred Heart and Saint Mary's parishes.
Bob from Saint Hedwig proclaims the first reading. Sister Xinia, Pastoral Associate at Saint Mary's, proclaims the second reading in Spanish.
Deacon Tom from Sacred Heart proclaims the Gospel. Father Charles Armey, pastor of Sacred Heart inspires us with his words and faith in the homily.
Rod and Jean of Sacred Heart parish present the gifts at offertory. Fr. Leo LeBlanc, pastor of Notre Dame, offers part of the Eucharistic Prayer.
