National Mission Statement

Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads men and women to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering, in the tradition of its founder, blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, Saint Vincent de Paul

As a reflection of the whole family of God, members who are known as Vincentians, are drawn from every ethnic and cultural background, age group, and economic level.  Vincentians are united in an international society of charity by their spirit of poverty, humility and sharing, which is nourished by prayer and reflection, mutually supportive gatherings and adherence to a basic Rule.

Organized locally, Vincentians witness God’s love by embracing all works of charity and justice.  The Society collaborates with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those they serve, because in them Vincentians see the face of Christ.

Parish Conference Mission Statement

Our parish conference was founded in 1955.  This Mission Statement was adopted September 2002

Inspired by the compassion of Saint Vincent de Paul and on the tradition of our founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, we, the Saint Mary’s Parish Conference of Saint Vincent de Paul are organized to promote the Gospel works of mercy.  In doing so, we hope to engage the resources of the parish at large, to witness the Gospel to the larger community and to recognize and serve Christ to one another, especially the needy in our midst.

Meetings are held monthly on the second Monday in the rectory at 7:00 PM.

Core Values

Our values define the core principles or beliefs that guide our decisions and actions in carrying out our mission.  These were adopted by the conference in September of 2002.

Spirituality

We adhere to the Gospel and the teachings of the Catholic Church to help the needy and poor of our community.  We recognize Jesus Christ in each person we serve and pray for divine guidance in carrying out our mission.

Dignity of each Person

Every person’s dignity is to be considered in all we do and how we do it.  Our words and actions must always reflect this value.

Accountability

We will be responsible for the resources placed in our trust.  We will practice sound decisions to operate as efficiently and effectively as possible.  In doing so, we will utilize available finances to the best of our ability.

Respect

We will respect each member’s decisions and judgment.  Additionally, we will respect all requests for assistance from the poor and needy regardless of their religious affiliation.

Confidentiality

We will treat all personal information and case work in confidence with members of the conference.  When necessary, to facilitate the needs of any individual, information may be shared and/or requested of other agencies, conferences, or churches.

Solidarity

We do not act alone but are each an integral member of a larger unity of mind and heart to serve the needy and respond with compassionate love.

The Conference operates a Food Pantry twice a week out of the rectory office.  For more information link to a flyer in English or in Spanish to make a reservation. We have taken photos at some of our more recent events.  Please use the following links to Photo pages on this website:
