The following is a photographic tour of our church, from the outside in.  The present church was the second built on the same site.  It was begun in 1876 and finished in the autumn of 1878, making the building 125 years old in 2003. This is part of the reason of our jubilee celebration this year and next.  The current renovation of the church was completed on July 1, 1988 and the church was consecrated on December 8, 1988 by Bishop Timothy Harrington, Bishop of Worcester.  

We hope that this tour not only gives you an idea of the appearance of our beautiful church, but an understanding of our Catholic faith.

The most sacred and important part of our church is at the center of the sanctuary, the Altar.  Here bread and wine are offered to God and returned to us as the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, our Lord.		El altar es lo más importante y sagrado de toda la iglesia.  Por eso, esta al centro del santuario.  Aquí, se ofrezca el pan y vino a Dios y nos recibe el Cuerpo y Sangre de Jesucristo, nuestro Señor.
Over the altar is a crucifix that has been a part of our church as long as anyone alive can remember.  Its position over the altar reminds us that the Mass celebrates the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross.		Sobre el altar es el crucifijo que ha sido un parte de nuestra iglesia más que alguien puede recordar.  Su posición sobre el altar nos receurda que la Misa se celebra el sacrificio de Jesús sobre la Cruz.
The Pulpit is where we are fed on the Word of God.  Reserved for the proclamation of Sacred Scripture and the homily, its prominence speaks of the importance to us about what is spoken here.		El Pulpito es dondo somos alimentado por La Palabra de Dios.  Reservado por la proclamación de la sagradas escrituras y la homilia, se habla de la importancia de las palabras habladas aquí.
The Presidential Chair is one of the more obvious elements of the sanctuary.  The one who sits in this chair, sits as Christ among us to preside, to pray, and to unify us in our Risen Lord.		El Sede es la silla de presidente de la asamblea.  La persona que se sienta aquí esta sentado como Cristo entre nosotros para orar, unir, y presidar entre nosotros como Cristo nuestro Señor Resucitado.
The tabernacle, where remaining Eucharist is placed at the end of Mass.  The red candle above signifies our belief in the abiding real presence of Jesus in the sacrament.  Even when no one else is in church, you are never alone in the presence of the Eucharist.		El Sagrario, donde esta la presencia verdadera de Jesús en el Santísimo Sacramento.  El le invita a venir y orar, para hablar con El.
The Baptismal Font where new Christians are reborn in water and the Spirit.  To the left is the Paschal Candle and behind the font is the Holy Oils, the case that holds the oils for sacramental celebrations blessed by our bishop.		El fuente bautismal donde estan renacidos los nuevos cristianos de agua y de Espíritu.  A la izquierda es el cirio pascual y detras son los oleos santos, consagrados de nuestro obispo y usado en los sacramentos.
The Reconciliation Room that replaces the former confessional.  Here a penitent speaks confidentially with a priest to know and celebrate the forgiveness of God in the Church's sacrament of Penance.		El Cuarto de Reconciliación donde una persona confia con el sacerdote de sus pecados para encontrar la misercordia y el perdón de Dios en el sacramento de la confesión.
A look at the hand carved wooden statue of our patroness that has inspired countless for the century or so she has stood in silent witness in our parish church.  The crown on her head is because she is Queen of Heaven. The blue sash at her waist and the flowers at her feet are significant of her title, the Immaculate Conception, her patronal title to our parish: Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception.		Una vista a la imagen de la Virgen, hecha de mano en madera y que ha inspirado a tantos por cerca de un siglo en testimonio callado en nuestra iglesia.  La corona significa que ella es la Reina de los Cielos; su cintura azul y las rosas a sus pies dicen de su titulo, la Inmaculada Concepción.  Ella es la patrona de nuestra parroquia por este nombre:  Santa María de la Inmaculada Concepción.

The Stations of the Cross is a devotion devised by St Francis of Assisi to allow a disciple to walk the road to the Cross with Jesus.  There are 14 stations in all around the church, this is the first.		El Vía Crucis es una devoción, originado por San Francisco que permite un discípulo a caminar con Jesús al Calvario.  Hay 14 estaciones, aquí la primera.
An image of Saint Rita of Cascia.  St. Rita, Saint of the Impossible, was a stigmatist with a thorn from the Lord's crown implanted in her forehead.  A parish Society of Saint Rita has existed for almost 70 years.		Un imagen de Santa Rita de Cascia.  Santa Rita, santa de lo imposible, fue un stigmatista con una espina de la corona del Señor en su frente.  Una Sociedad parroquial de Santa Rita ha existido por cerca 70 años.
